Established in 1965, ABCO Engineering has been serving the Namaqualand region for over five decades, specializing in engine rebuilding and remanufacturing for diesel and petrol applications. With a long-standing presence in the industry, we regard it as both our responsibility and our privilege to provide reliable engineering support to our clients.

Our work is guided by the principle “Quality Starts Here,” which underpins a disciplined approach to continuous improvement through modern machining practices, appropriate technology, and controlled workshop standards. A fully equipped workshop and machine shop, supported by trained specialists in engine remanufacturing and precision machining, ensure consistent workmanship and dependable end results.

ABCO Engineering provides engine rebuilding and reconditioning services, field service support, and the supply of new engines and components, with a strong service focus on the mining and industrial sectors. Through POWER HOUSE Engine Parts, we further support operational requirements by supplying quality engine parts and components.

To strengthen our quality management systems and formalise our processes, ABCO Engineering is working toward SABS ISO 9002 quality assurance grading, reinforcing our commitment to recognised standards, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

ABCO GENERATIONS

Since 1965, ABCO Engineering has been led by three generations of Carel Oberholzer. Today, the second-generation Carel continues as Director, while the third-generation Carel plays a hands-on role in daily operations, ensuring continuity of standards, discipline and innovation.

This active partnership between generations reflects not transition — but continuity. Experience and operational leadership working side by side.
