Energy Responsibility – Solar Power Investment
ABCO Engineering has also invested in solar energy infrastructure at our workshop facilities in Springbok.
By installing a large-scale solar power system, we are able to significantly reduce our reliance on conventional grid electricity and lower our operational carbon footprint.
The benefits of this initiative include:
• Reduced carbon emissions
• Lower energy consumption from non-renewable sources
• Improved operational energy resilience
• Support for South Africa’s transition toward sustainable energy
This investment forms part of our long-term strategy to operate a more energy-efficient engineering facility.
Environmental Awareness & Industry Training
ABCO Engineering recently joined a hosted series of engine awareness and sustainability training sessions in collaboration with industry partners. These sessions focused on improving technical understanding of engine operation, energy use, and environmental impact.
Multiple teams participated in the training, including TMM and Tramming teams, with strong engagement and valuable input from operational personnel.
These sessions form part of our ongoing commitment to:
